We leave in one week. We survived the three week heat waves. The days have been cooler. I re-built the Brasilian Bed and disassembled the bunk beds in preparation for our move. Hopefully we will find someone to rent our place for the rest of the lease. We had to lease until May, but that was still less expensive than paying outrageous summer vacation rental prices. The wind blew off a neighbor’s front gate. Dwana and I sat at the top of the stairs and ate lunch and looked out onto the neighborhood that will soon be only a memory.
