DAY 321 THE RAINS OF CACUPÉ

Friday, 14 February 2014 DAY 664 321 MOON 23 FULL 100%
We are here at Cacupé – SESC. We walked and had breakfast at the bakery on the way. SESC has the best playground we have found on the island. Viena and Ezra are playing with some other small children. Happy Valentine’s Day! We needed more kid interaction on the playground, like Madrid. We stayed at SESC most of the morning and afternoon. I took photographs of all the wooden “Games of the World”. The slanted wooden cube was solved! I could not believe this. I have been trying to solve this puzzle since we arrive here at SESC. Now, with the help of an Unknown, I know how to solve the puzzle. I use the 3-pillar and Z-key technique, which is different from the Arc do Triumph Z-key technique of the regular cube. Understand! The simple things of life that make me happy! The kids were in imagination land as they played with puppets, dolls, swings and kitchens. They must have prepared food for 200 people. “It is hard work being a chef!” – Ezra. What a blessing to have a place like SESC nearby and a nice bakery on the way. The rain storm we have been waiting for finally arrived. We were sheltered in the small bus stop of Cacupé as the waves and wind and rain all were crazy around us. However, the conditions were still a warm wind and warm rain, warm tropical rain. We sat huddled together in the bus stop talking about “real” storms of Alaska where the bus shelter would be truly a survival shed and the storm would include freezing rain, hail and sleet. No, this was not a storm like that.
