Friday, 24 January 2014 DAY 643 300 MOON 22 WANING 45%
Why did the chicken eat all the bugs? Because he did not want the bugs to eat him. We needed a day away, so we hopped on the bus, went past the Waldorf school (bye bye Waldorf school, hello travel school), and we went to the Parque Ecologia do Corrego Grande which is bem perto to UFSC – the university. The day was hot, but that did not stop us. We had to explore a free wilderness park in the middle of the city, with no one using the park. Well, almost no one. The culture of this part of Brasil is in the beginning stages of appreciating green lands like these. Ducks, bunnies, turtles, tortoises, and a S-curved neck bird. A wild grouse was hanging out in the jungle of the city. The parked appeared like an abandoned botanical garden experiment. The hot day must have scared away everyone. We stayed in the shady spots. Viena and Ezra played for a bit on the playground. Ezra made up his own obstacle course just like I used to do when I was younger. We had a small picnic before walking to the air-conditioning of the Shopping Iguatami. What a difference! The walk to the mall went through the campus of UFSC, summer time campus, so not many students running around. At the mall, we ate and walked around and visited the book store. I read some magazine written in English – Fast Company 1000 creative minds, made me think. Dwana and I watched a movie tonight about finding and going after your dreams – and so here I am. But always ask – what next?
