Saturday, 18 January 2014 DAY 637 294 MOON 22 WANING 86%
Sun. Heat. Wind. Waves. Sand. Salt. Sea. We woke up early and caught the early bus to Praia Brava. The huge concert Planeta Atlantica was going on in Canasvieiras so we picked up about 20 Argentines at 5:30am who had been up all night, and they were loud. Their conversations started out gentle enough, but eventually crescendoed into who was going to win the World Cup and who was the best soccer player in the world. All in a bus ride. The funny thing was Ezra and one other guy had passed out on the bus and slept through the entire barulous conversation. Everyone exit the bus except us and the other guy passed out. His friends just left him on the bus. So when the bus stopped at the Ponte Final, the bus driver had to wake him up and he was dazed and confused and alone and had no idea where he was or where his friends were. He only knew he had to leave the bus and walk somewhere as the sun was rising and the day was beginning. We walked to the beach to watch the beautiful sunrise. He walked back along the road, not looking back once towards the beach. The beach was deserted. The sky was absent of clouds. Today was going to be another hot one. We were able to play in the waves. The water was so clear. We saw big crabs in the water and small circular jelly fish. André and Diva showed up right when we were leaving at mid-day. We caught the Executivo bus home. I am learning.
