Today we went on our second trip into Policia Federal. This time, just barely, we came away with what we needed, a Visa extension. So, now we are good to stay in Brasil for the remainder of our stay, until February. Yes. The front desk guy made the mistake of not handing me four tags numbers when I showed him that I had 4 passports. He said I only needed 1. Turns out I needed 4. It all worked out. The main guy made me sweat it out by telling me my paperwork to complete my paperwork in less than 1 minute. That saved me about 4 hours and 40 Reais. So the way this worked out was I woke up at 5:30am and caught the bus into Trinidade and BeiraMAr where I ran to the bridge and back to Policia Federal to start waiting in line in front of the building by 6:45am. I was the first in line. I had to wait another 90 minutes for the tags to be handed out. Then I ran back home, took a shower, ate something, and gathered everyone. I went by and did some shopping at Bistek for delivery and told them to deliver in the evening. We all caught the bus back to Angeloni where we again waited another 90 minutes, but it all worked out. The groceries were not delivered until 10:00pm, another mix up. But now we have food to take on an adventure tomorrow. I slept on the top bunk.
