Today is Dwana’s birthday. Well, after being sick with the flu for the past three days, I was able to rise to the occasion of celebrating Dwana’s birthday. Looking at years gone by, we have determined that I always become sick around Dwana’s birthday, too much pressure I guess. We packed a picnic lunch and head out the door as soon as we could, which was around 9am. Three buses later, we arrived at Praia Mole on a simply beautiful day. We setup the umbrella, and yes today was a double umbrella day. I even rented a one beach chair (15 reais for both the chair and umbrella) to make things really special. The water was as expected, nice and refreshing. Playing around in clean, beautiful, chilling ocean water is so much fun, especially when the day is hot. We jumped in and played and sat in the sun and sat in the shade. The clouds came in for a bit to sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY. One big cloud looked like an open dragon mouth, we used that one to light the candles on the cake. The rocks around Praia Mole are shaped like a sleeping dragon. I cowered and shivered under the shade of an umbrella after playing for a long time in the waves because I did not want the abusive strikes of the mid-day sun rays.Mid-day came and went. We ate a wonderful fish lunch with a great view of the picturesque Praia Mole from the shade of the restaurant, which I struck my head upon. Soon afterwards we loaded up and caught the bus home. Once we cleaned the sand and salt off of us, we were back out the door to Shopping Floripa to have some ice cream. We were going to buy Dwana a 30 minute chair massage but she opted or a 30 minute walk around the mall by herself without Ezra and Viena which she said was way more relaxing. Ezra did wonderful throughout the day. Viena was the same wonderful. The best present you could receive, good kids on your birthday. We were just lucky on this one. The cab ride home was fast. We ate our cake first thing in the morning. Lordy Lordy.
