ANGIE STONE

These days sneak up on you. I am officially under the weather. Sick. I have a fever of sorts. The fever has a hold of me and then I lost it when dealing with Ezra. Ezra has difficulties listening and kNOwing that NO means NO and STOP means STOP. I stayed on the top bunk all day long with the flu. What? How? Why? The flu could have been caused from all the sugars. I drank watermelon juice and oniapple-coconut smoothies and ate a bunch of watermelon. Today was a Friday the 13th to remember, or forget. I was sweating all day long trying to be comfortable. I am glad I have this space to feel sick. The temperature is not too hot outside. Thankfully, everyone else is healthy. Ezra jumped on Viena and cracked her little pinky finger, which led to a lecture on listening. I had tried earlier to instill fear, but I guess I am not that scary. Interesting that it comes down to the fact that humans feel like they need to act scary to protect the future, with our children. My dreams during this flu slumber were of a world that was created with a mistake and our task is to move back to the way that it should be. We did manage to walk to the Centro Administivo to have lunch with André, but we were late so we just ate and came home. A group of children were out playing in the soccer field and you could sense the desire of Ezra and Viena to play with some other children. Yes, I wish this apartment had another family with children living here, but even without other children around, I am glad we are here, especially during this illness. I am in bed hoping Dwana makes me some more chicken noodle-like soup, which made me feel the best I have felt all day, but the feeling did not last.
